Feasible and hassle-free online building permissions are now possible to be availed within 21 days, as per the announcement by The Telangana Cabinet made on this Wednesday after approving TsbPASS (Telangana State Building Approval and Self-Certification System). 

Therefore, from now on, there will be no need to acquire permission for a residential building construction on a 75 Sq. Yds., plot. All Property Owners need to do is to register on the website by paying the registration fee of just rupee 1 and Rs. 100 as first property tax along with self-Certification. 

Likewise, there will be an instant approval for any building construction up to 10 meters, for the building proposed on the plot areas between 75 Sq. Yds., and 600 Sq. Yds.

On Wednesday, TsbPASS got approval from The Telangana Cabinet to provide hassle-free and feasible building permits online within 21 days. The applicant will be required to fill out one common application form to acquire permits for properties above 600 Sq. Yds., and above 10 meters, and all other non-residential buildings and structures without running from pillars to posts and one office to another department for approvals, the officials said. 

As the system promises to grant permission within 21 days if it doesn't occur due to some internal glitch, after due scrutiny, the online system will automatically generate the permission on the 22nd day, a senior official of the municipal administration department said. 

Albeit, the permission issued is subject to certain clauses and any impeachment of the said clauses such as misappropriation of facts, concealment of the vital facts, false statements, something is found fishy against the building rules, regulations and the master plan land use provisions give the rights to the concerned authorities to revoke the permission granted. The government is authorized to take legal action and even demolish the construction of the building is found violating the norms, without any prior notice. 

The government has also decided to establish a chasing cell at State-levels, for now, to ensure that the building permissions are rolled out on time. This cell will also facilitate the clearance of all proposals under the single window system within 21 days. If any delay is being found in issuing permission, the town planning staff will have to bear the penalty.
