The Telangana government had approved an endorsement of Rs. 1571 crores for developing the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), located in Punjagutta.
The NIMS management has also obtained a permit to raise funds for expansion projects.
S A M Rizvi, Telangana’s Secretary of Health, issued a Government Order (GO Ms No 142).
The NIMS management is set to work along with SBICAP and the Telangana Superspecialty Hospital Corporation Limited (TSSHCL).
The Health minister T Harish Rao recently tweeted, mentioning, “In another big step towards #ArogyaTelangana."
He also mentioned that the Government had permitted Rs. Rs.1,571 crores towards the NIMS expansion project.
In addition to this, he had said that under the guidance of CM Shri KCR Garu, the Telangana government is prioritising people's health.
Newly, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had ceremoniously augmented the academic sessions at eight recently established government medical colleges in 8 districts.
