24-Hour Emergency Response Centre Inaugurated at IIHFW, Vengalraonagar

Health Minister Flags Off an Emergency Response Centre at the IIHFW

In Vengalraonagar, the Indian Institute of Health and Family Welfare (IIHFW) opened a 24-hour Emergency Response Centre (ERC) with 108, 102, and 104 health care emergency services on Sunday.

The ERC, a consolidated call centre, will include over 100 trained professionals to help people in medical crises and coordinate the 108, 104, and 102 emergency services.

102 is dedicated to vehicles that provide special services for pregnant women under the Amma Vodi program. If you ever need medical assistance that isn't an emergency, you can reach out at 104. In any emergency, you can dial 108 to contact the ambulance service. The ERC will make it easier for all three emergency services to work together in the state.

Since all emergency healthcare vehicles have GPS trackers, the ERC can monitor and manage them. Advanced software on the ERC's computer screen shows the nearest ambulances to assist executives in responding quickly to distress calls.

"Telangana is working hard to develop all healthcare services. While inaugurating the ERC, Health Minister Harish Rao said providing rapid healthcare to critical patients was necessary.

At the ERC counters, professionally trained executives will offer medical advice and ideas through the 104 helplines.

A few features of ERC:

  • Detailed call management

  • Monitor performance.

  • Strong reporting mechanisms

  • 24/7 emergency service

  • Timely hospital patient transport
