Recently, houses constructed under the Dignity Housing Scheme of Telangana government were handed over to beneficiaries at Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) areas. 

2BHK Delivered to Houses to Beneficiaries 

The double-bedroom housing units in Sairam Nagar and Gandhi Nagar were inaugurated by key ministers, such as Mahmood Ali, Minister of Home Affairs; Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Minister of Animal Husbandry, and Malla Reddy, Minister of Labour.

A total of 200 2BHK houses in Gandhinagar were constructed by the Telangana government. While the project in Gandhinagar was built at a cost of Rs 15.50 Crore, the one in Sairam Nagar was completed at a cost of Rs 4.96 crore.

The  2BHK houses in Gandhi Nagar are divided into seven blocks, with each block consisting of a G+3 structure. The 64 houses in Sriram Nagar are spread over four blocks and each block has a building of three floors. Every unit is 560 sq.ft, while the cost of construction is Rs 7.75 lakh per unit. Basic facilities such as underground drainage and power supply are also available in the dwellings.
