Covid-19 Control Measures Stepped Up in Warangal

With the increase in COVID positive cases within the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) limits, the civic body authorities are taking every precaution to prevent the spread of the virus.

GWMC Tough Measures to Control COVID-19

As part of this process, the authorities have ordered the use of 15 auto-mounted spraying machines and 15 tractor-mounted spraying machines. While tractor-mounted sprayers are used to spray sodium hypochlorite on the main roads, auto-mounted sprayers are used to spray the liquid in lanes and by-lanes (narrow roads).

On the other hand, GWMC have asked 170 sanitation wing employees to spray sodium hypochlorite across the city. Satyanarayana, a commissioner for GWMC, informed that sodium hypochlorite is sprayed across all 66 divisions. It should be noted that officials used drone sprayers to spray sodium hypochlorite last year.

As per the sources, a total of 234 bodies of patients infected with virus have been burned since last year. Officials have put up banners showing the GWMC telephone numbers and requesting people to call for help if bodies need to be shifted.
