DCR Portal Monitors Over 4,000 Building Plans in Hyderabad

As per recent media reports, as many as 4,073 files of building plans have been approved by the recently launched Development Control Regulation (DCR) online portal.

Development Control Regulations are a set of laws, which are meant to regulate building plans to ensure proper and effective development of the city as well as to foster general well being of the public. The DCR platform is an online portal that scrutinizes and verifies CAD (computer-aided drafting) drawings as per existing building rules and norms. Launched on November 16, 2020, more than 4,000 building plans have been monitored and verified by the portal so far.

As per officials of the state government, the advantage of a server-based scrutiny system is that it automatically scrutinizes and verifies your building plan without much delay. Drawings that have been approved can then be submitted to the authority concerned for permission. Applicants whose drawings are successful will receive a secret key through which he/she can submit the building plan for final approval. GHMC officials said that this automated system is a fast and efficient way and requires no manual intervention.
