Government Invested Rs 8,000 Crore on Improving Infrastructure in Hyderabad

The State Government has spent Rs 8,000 crore over the last five years on the improvement of infrastructure and other development work in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad is one of the fastest-growing and developing cities in India. The State Government believed in participatory and administrative governance as well as looking for suggestions of people in the implementation of various development activities.

As per the research, Hyderabad ranked as the most dynamic city while it has been ranking as the top city in the Liveability Index for the last five years.

States Focus to Develop City’s Infrastructure

The government has been committed to develop city infrastructure and to provide future generations with better infrastructure and services.

The state government announced Hyderabad Road Development Corporation Limited to reduce the traffic congestion on major highways and arterial roads and develop links in cities. In Phase I, 135 link roads covering a 126 km distance were developed. Presently the works on 44.7 km are in process.

Information on all link roads are provided in the public domain, and more roads are added to the list where available. The state requested people to make proposals and suggest additional link roads in this regard.

After launching the link road near ESCI, the minister stated that the stretch would be built on Necklace Road to allow children and older people to spend quality time.
