Municipal Corporation to Develop 57 Theme Parks in Hyderabad

Hyderabad is all set to have more of its unique theme parks soon. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) plans to set up 57 theme parks across its limits.

Under this programme, 57 parks have been recognised by the municipal corporation, which will soon create new theme parks. To design the themes and the parks accordingly, tenders have already been released.

A Knowledge Park, Animal Kingdom Park, Topiary Garden, Herbal Theme Park, Women's Park, Adventure Theme Park, Community Park, Children's Park or Tranquility Park, Golf Theme Park, and Science Themes Park are among the new themes that have been finalised.

Proposed Unique Theme Parks 

At Sachivalaya Nagar, LB Nagar Zone, Teacher's Colony, LB Nagar Zone and TNGOs Colony, Serilingampally Zone, the municipal corporation is also constructing women-oriented theme parks.

The municipal corporation is gearing up to develop such parks in the city for the first time. These parks would have several amenities for women's comfort, including pregnant women, but they are not limited to women. These parks will have various sections, including the section for pregnant women, the workshop section, the section for yoga and fitness, entertainment, etc. Apart from these, there will be daily amenities, such as walkways, open gyms, lawns, etc.

At the cost of Rs 123 crore, the 57 parks are being developed. Most of the works include engineering and civil works, designed greenery and 15 percent are other lawn works. Works in many parks have already been grounded and will be opened to visitors in a phased manner in about six months.
