Telangana Dharani Land Registrations Resumed

The services were formally launched at the Shamshabad Tahsildar office in Ranga Reddy district by Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar. Works were rolled out under the district of Hyderabad in all mandals (blocks) except 20 mandals.

The officials said that in the registration process the new system would remove gaps as well as store all land and property-related information online. The records relating to registration, mutation, succession and partition will also be issued on the spot. Officials have already listed records of 59.46 properties relating to 1.48 lakh acres of land on the Dharani portal.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao officially opened the website on October 29, and slot bookings for agricultural land transactions began on the same day. Somesh Kumar said the registration fee was charged by 946 applicants, while 888 slots were booked on Monday, 2nd Nov. By paying Rs 200 at Mee Seva centres, slot reservations can be made.

He said that online registration and mutation of non-agricultural properties would also be introduced shortly. The concept behind the Dharani portal is to provide people with services in a transparent way without any space for corruption.

The portal, which has been established as part of the Integrated Land Record Management System, will increase transparency, effectiveness also provides accountability, secured and hassle-free services for land registration, mutation and transfer for citizens.

Across 570 mandal revenue offices and also 142 sub-registrar offices, the online system was introduced. The Tahsildars will also serve as joint sub-registrars for the registration of agricultural properties under the New Revenue Act, and the sub-registrars will perform the registration of non-agricultural properties.
