Rs 1,543.28 Crore Property Tax Collected by Hyderabad Civic Body

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) received property tax to the tune of Rs 1,543.28 crore out of a target of Rs 1,900 crore. There are further three days to achieve the target.  

In accordance with the data on tax collections given by the civic authorities, of the 16lakh-plus property tax assessments in the GHMC jurisdiction, a total of 11.84 lakh property owners paid the tax on Sunday.  

In terms of circle rates, Jubilee Hills paid the highest with Rs 163 crore, followed by Serilingampally with Rs 155 crore and Khairatabad with Rs 140 crore. 

In order to prevent penalties, GHMC officials requested the property owner to clear?the tax?dues. Those who are yet to pay the property tax can clear their dues by March 31 at all municipal circle?offices, citizen service centres, online modes, e-Seva centres and bill collectors. A fine shall be imposed from April 1.
