India's largest fulfilment centre of e-commerce giant Amazon (FC) located in Hyderabad is all set to get bigger. 

In Telangana, Amazon India expanded its fulfilment infrastructure with two new FCs in Hyderabad. The extension would help sellers have a wider variety and allow customer orders to be shipped faster within the area and neighbouring states before the next festive season.

Amazon.in now offers it's more than 4.5 million cubic feet of storage spread over four completion centres to over 23,000 salespersons in Telangana. The firm also extended an existing style centre in Telangana to have an overall range of more than one lakh square feet. The Telangana expansion is part of the newly announced plans for ten new FC and seven existing sites to be expanded in India.

Director of Fulfilment Centres & Supply Chain, Amazon India, Prakash Kumar Dutta stated that Since the start of their operations in India, Amazon and Telangana have collaborated with country's largest centre for fulfilment in Hyderabad.

This network growth will help to generate thousands of job opportunities and help us further support small and medium-sized companies within the area to fulfil their customer orders efficiently. Adding to this It will also provide an economic boost to the e-commerce ecosystem in Telangana across packaging, transportation and logistics.

The Amazon India Continuing investment is the testimony of our company-friendly policies and provision of high-quality infrastructure, said Jayesh Ranjan, Senior Secretary, Departments of Industrie & Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology (IT). These new facilities will provide the SMB (small and medium-sized enterprise) industry with massive growth and create work opportunities for local talent.

Thousands of items from the specialised Fulfilment Centres in Telangana will be available in the broad categories of appliances, including air conditioner, ventilation, washing machines and TV and a list of more than 1.2 lakh items covering the full range of furniture. Telangana's other FCs meet the demand of customers in the fields of smartphones, consumer electronics, appliances, apparel and consumer goods (FMCG).
