Over 21,000 applications were filed on Wednesday for the Land Regularisation Scheme (LRS), which included a fee of Rs.2.14 Crore.
Filed Applications in Telangana
The regulatory framework for paying specified charges on 26 August this year would only be accepted for layouts and plots with an existing registered sales document/title deed. A total of 9261 were submitted from municipalities, 6641 were from panchayats and 5139 from municipal corporations among 21,041 applications.
The applicants can submit an application for the regularisation of their plots online before 15 October, or in a specified format in Mee-Seva Centre. In the case of the individuals, they should pay a registration fee of Rs 1,000 and the developers of the layout should pay Rs 10,000 registration fee.
After getting the approval, the applicants must pay all the fees prescribed before 31 January 2021. Open spaces, including government land, property endowments and wakf properties, are not eligible for regularisation in any permitted formats, as well as in properties under dispute.
The move of the State government’s decision would deny registration of plots purchased in such unauthorised layouts and ensure planned sustainable development in Telangana.
