The Telangana government is planning for the development of the State by providing basic amenities in all proposed infrastructure activities.

Plans to Develop Basic Amenities 

Municipal and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao ordered the GHMC Zonal Commissioners to specify open spaces for bus bays construction and open places for the medium to marginal dimensions of park development. The Minister has guided officials to prioritise basic amenities by reviewing development work being undertaken by GHMC here on Wednesday.

Planned Developmental Activities

All Zonal Commissioners made presentations on comprehensive developmental activities in their respective zones include

• Parks
• Bus bays
• Providing toilets
• Development of central medians
• Development of small parks
• Walking tracks under Metro Rail
• Construction of FOBs
• Skyways
• Footpaths
• Wall painting
• Lane marking
• Painting on flyovers
• Protection and development of lakes
• Graveyards
• Vending zones
• Vegetable markets

In addition to planning the two-year programme, the Minister requested the Zonal Commissioners to develop the lake conservation and enhancement programme at all 185 GHMC lakes as well as to create open spaces for the creation of parks, bus lanes and libraries.
