On Sunday, 13th Dec Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao assigned a Cabinet sub-committee to complete the final guidelines for registration of non-agricultural lands and other properties in the state.

Telangana Property Registrations Under Cabinet Sub-Committee

The Sub-Committee would be headed by Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Minister of Roads and Buildings and K.T. Rama Rao, Minister of Municipal Administration and Information Technology. The representatives are Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Home Minister Mahmood Ali and Minister T. Srinivas Yadav of Animal Husbandry.

The Chief Minister proposed that the sub-committee undertake three to four days of talks with builders, real estate entrepreneurs and other sections of society, take their views into account, and prepare a strategy and action plan.

KCR held a summary meeting on the subject with ministers and senior officials, as the Chief Minister is popularly known. He informed the officials concerned to ensure that the registration of non-agricultural land and property is carried out transparently, without any official having any discretionary powers and without any bribes being forced on individuals.

The CM investigated the registration of agriculture through the Dharani portal. He expressed satisfaction that after getting over the initial minor glitches, the farmers are happy to get the land registered via Dharani portal. He noted that agricultural land registrations are carried out to the satisfaction of farmers through Dharani smoothly and more effortlessly, and he wanted a similar procedure for the registration of non-agricultural lands and properties.

Registration is delayed for 70 to 80 days for different reasons, causing several difficulties. Now, there should be no further delay. A registration process is required, which should be quick, easy and comfortable. In Hyderabad, the real estate sector is doing very well. There should be no issue with the non-agricultural land and property registration system for the real estate sector, and it should allow the sector to expand further.

In such a way that individuals have no scope to pay any bribes, the system should be transparent, KCR stated. No officer should have any discretionary rights to take any action.

On December 11, slot bookings were launched for the registration of non-agricultural properties. The registration process would start soon. On December 10th, the Telangana High Court allowed registrations to begin with a 100 percent advance slot booking.
