The 2BHK houses being developed under the state government's dignity housing scheme were inspected by officials of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA). 

Audit on 2BHK Housing Units 

Six sites in the city including those in Kattal Mandi (Nampally), Chilkalguda and Jawahar Nagar, were inspected by the central officials.

Five officials split into teams and inspected the locations. In the 2BHK housing societies, they monitored the number of units being built, construction materials used and amenities. Officials have drawn up reports based on the checks to be presented to (MOHUA).

The team also planned to visit sites outside the city, which will include sites in Warangal and Sanga Reddy. Unlike routine inspections and civic activities, their visit was not widely reported.

The audit was carried out to verify the condition/progress of houses in the city. A Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) official said that it is not just Telangana, they also plan to move to other states.
