On 24 August, GHMC announced that it will construct 2 BHK buildings in Telangana adopting tunnel building technology that would allow the construction of a 10-storey building within 40 days.
Robust Construction of 2BHK Units with New Technology
The double bedroom housing project in the village of Rampally, Keesara Mandal has been built by the imported tunnel formwork using new technology. Compared with the existing method of using technology enables the completion of the project within a short time.
According to experts and builders, it will take not less than five months for an S+10 tower to be built in the traditional method of construction. The Tunnel Form Technique is a system that makes it easier to place walls and slabs in one process. This technique can be used to complete one floor in 30-40 hours. Within 40 days, a 10-storey tower can be built.
These types of structures are strong and resistant to earthquake loads. For the first time in a government system, such technology is implemented. Such technologies are used only after approval of IIT-Hyderabad professors, experts and a special committee consisting of engineers from the Telangana State Housing Corporation Ltd and GHMC..
Over 6,000 Units Constructed
Officials stated that 6,240 of 2BHK housing units were built in 52 towers spread over an area of 41 acres. The construction of each of the 2BHK flat cost Rs 7.90 lakh with Rs 75,000 on amenities, under the flagship scheme of Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao, the overall cost of the flat came to Rs 8.65 lakhs.
While the tower's construction is almost completed, work is being done on water supplies, road laying, electricity and wastewater treatment plants. It is expected that within September end all work will be completed.
With the adoption of new technology Telangana 2BHK Housing Scheme is expected to provide quality houses to many families for a comfortable stay.
