Flyover's construction expected to be completed by 2022

Five years ago,under the Strategic Road Development Program (SRDP) it focused on the construction of flyovers and road widening as key intersections. The government has commenced an exercise to approach the increasing traffic problem in the city by constructing flyovers at various locations in Hyderabad.  

The Botanical Garden flyover stretches over the length 2.5 km started construction work in 2017, costing Rs.263 crore. The proposed completion date was March 2022 which has gone by six months before. The possibility of delay is quite evident, however once the construction is complete it will benefit about 9,000 vehicles that commute on the Miyapur-Gachibowli route every hour.  

The Narayanamma Engineering college flyover stretches over the length 2.8 km started the construction work in 2018, costing Rs.333.55crore. The completion of the flyover is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Once the construction is complete it will benefit about 10,000 vehicles that commute on the operating on the Raidurg, Hi-Tech City route from Mehdipatnam per hour. It is currently taking half an hour and this stretch will be completed in ten minutes with a traffic junction at Shaikpet Dargah. 

The Aramgarh flyover stretches over the length 10 km and started the construction work in 2018, costing Rs. 283 crores. The completion of the flyover is expected to be completed by the end of the year, but time may extend to 2022. The Center has sanctioned funds to convert the Shamshabad road leading to the airport into an express highway covering 10 km of distance. The traffic junction benefited is Aramgarh Chowrastha. 

The RTC Crossroads flyover stretches over the length 2.6 km started the construction work in 2020, costing Rs. 450 crores. The completion of the flyover is expected to be completed in another six months. Currently, traffic at RTC crossroads has become a maze. This bridge, constructed using steel bridge, was chosen for faster completion. The bridge will be accessible quickly if pillars are built and traffic junction is RTC X Road Junction.  

The Uppal flyover stretches over the length 7 km started the construction work in 2018, costing Rs. 623 crores. The completion of the flyover is expected to be completed by the end of the year, but time may extend to the end of 2022. Once the construction is complete traffic will go smoothly from the city toward Warangal. With a traffic junction at Uppal X Road. 

The Chintalkunta flyover stretches over the length 940 meters started the construction work in 2017, costing Rs. 43 crores. The completion of the flyover is expected to be completed by the end of the year, 2022. Due to the high traffic congestion, vehicles entering the city from Vijayawada side are severely hampered. With a traffic junction at LB Nagar. 

The Chandrayan Gutta flyover stretches over the length half a km started construction work in 2019, costing Rs.37 crore. The completion of the flyover is expected to be completed by June 2022. Once the construction is complete, it will benefit about 11,000 vehicles ply on this route per hour. The traffic between LB Nagar and Aramghar will go faster. Shamshabad Airport and Srisailam Road are easily accessible. With a traffic junction at Chandrayangutta PS. 

The Zoo Park flyover stretches over the length of 900 meters on one side. It is construction work that started in 2018, costing Rs.69 crore. The completion of the flyover is expected to be completed by March 2022. Once the bridge is completed, vehicles will be able to easily reach the Bangalore National Highway from NGBS without any traffic jams. With a traffic junction at Bahadurpura junction  

There are some roads that are currently being widened while flyovers are being constructed. Most of the flyovers are possible to be completed by next year. If all this is completed on time, most of the traffic problems will be solved.
