GHMC Initiative in Hyderabad's Tourist Spot

In order to ensure that premises have been routinely swept, waste is raised within the next 30 minutes and posters removed within 60 minutes are collected, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is primarily focused on the popular places on the city tourism circuit.

The ambitious project, which identified 27 locations in the city, was developed following encouraging results from a pilot effort to offer sanitary facilities at Charminar and some other locations.

The Tank Bund and LB Stadium, Birla Temple, Shilparamamam and Paigah Tombs are some of the places where agencies are to be roped. Officials of GHMC said the works were to be carried out in nine packages and the city corporation requested the administrative sanction from the government to proceed with the project. It is already nodded by the GHMC Standing Committee.
