This work will be facilitated at night by keeping in mind the untimely traffic woes by GHMC and will continue until 6 am.

Motorists had been going through issues and facing problems regarding weather bitten roads that caught the attention of municipal authorities. However, this issue will soon be a thing of the past as municipal officials are likely to complete the repair work that’s been long overdue by the end of this month.

This work will be performed on a priority basis, and all the roads in narrow lanes, in slum colonies, and main roads will be covered in the repair work to be conducted by GHMC. Authorities have decided to commence work during wee hours that last till 6 am so that traffic woes can be significantly avoided and the repair work can be carried out smoothly.

Restoration of the roads stretches that were damaged due to the recent incessant downpours in the city will be undergoing expedition according to the action suggested by Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao directed to the GHMC. 

Mayor Bonthu Rammohan has also issued instructions to officials concerned and the agencies executing work to complete the repair work at its earliest.  He has already inspected the work being done at Lakdi-ka pul and ensured a hassle-free drive to the motorists in the days to come. 

Agencies are expected to ensure quality in the execution. He has also requested the MLAs and corporators to visit the areas and thoroughly supervise if the quality is maintained.

Rammohan has further ensured that strict instructions have been given to the GHMC Engineers to repair the potholes riddled roads within 24 hours for the motorist’s maximum convenience.
