Secunderabad pipeline works is being done HMWSSB

Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) decided to take up the work of replacing old water and sewage lines for drinking water supply with modern mild steel pipelines all over the Secunderabad constituency. The other areas of Secunderabad were receiving contaminated water which caused several health issues.

Now, the board guaranteed residents that as soon as the pipelines are replaced, it will not cause further water contamination. Lately, the board authorities have identified leaks in several areas and took precautionary steps to prevent water contamination. This is done by closing all leakages in pipelines which resulted in sewage getting mixed with water.

According to a board executive, a special operation has been planned to resolve sewage and water issues in the constituency. The board is also preparing proposals to lay new sewage and water lines in some areas of five divisions with a capacity of 350 mm, and repairs.

The development works will cost Rs 2.45 crore, and funds have been allotted to modernize 250 valves at Tarnaka, Addagutta, Mettuguda, and Sitaphalmandi.
