Urban Development Special Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar shared photographs of the latest green drive with some stunning aerial shots of the ORR and its greenery on Twitter. 

“An intensive green drive has been taken up on #ORR including all intersections, median & sideways,” he said. 

Also, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao were examining the progress regularly and taking updates. “You will see a pleasant difference every time you drive by,” he said.

This intensive green drive is an initiative by Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority for the traveller on the Outer Ring Road into a much more pleasant experience. HMDA’s Urban Forestry wing will take care of maintenance and constant monitoring. The green drive has given the already stunning facility a deep shade of green all over at all the intersections, medians and also the sideways.  

Tree plantations are being done on different routes, including at Narsingi, the Narsingi-Kollur route, Kollur-Patancheru, Patancheru-Mallampet, Dundigal-Shamirpet and Shamirpet-Keesara stretches.
