A massive vaccination drive was carried out exclusively for the women of the Self-Help Group (SHG) by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). A total of 48,879 people has received the vaccine as part of the drive. 

Self Help Group Vaccination Drive 

About 46,255 self-help groups, consisting of 4,67 lakh women, have been given the vaccination in 60 centers across the city. The centers include 31 vaccination centers, which the civic body has established to vaccinate people in the category of high risk. 

The groups involved were high-risk groups, who operate in a grocery store, bazaars, saloons, laundry, paan (betel leaf) shops, markets. Officials of GHMC said they had a successful mass vaccination drive after taking up SGH women's drive. 

The urban community of GHMC contains information and addresses and telephone numbers of SHG beneficiaries. On the basis of these, e-coupons were generated and free jabs for women were organized. A GHMC official stated that the municipal authorities visited SHG women's homes and generated e-coupons. In the newly established 29 centers, detailed arrangements were also made.  

On Wednesday, women who were vaccinated in these centers thanked the government for exclusive arrangements and the help they receive without trouble.
