Supply of Manjeera Drinking Water to Hyderabad & Secunderabad Twin Cities

Hyderabad's Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) authorities began drawing water from reservoirs to twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

Pumping of Manjeera Water for Cities Began

The twin towns of Hyderabad and Secunderabad will soon receive the Manjeera drinking water. All arrangements for water supply are made by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB).

On Sep 30, water filters began to be pumped from Peddapur, next day onwards officers of the Water Board started pumping at the Manjeera filter bed. By second phase lines, Twin Cities will receive water from Manjeera.

The Singur project received 24 tmcft of inflows due to strong rainfall. Water from the Singur project is to be released to the Manjeera reservoir. Water discharges will begin on Friday in the Manjeera reservoir. According to the officers of the Water Board, 50 million gallons of water a day has been requested.
