Telangana Government Plans to Slash Layout Regularization Scheme Charges

The State Government is planning to cut Layout Regularisation Scheme Charges to some extent again considering the request of ministers and party legislators.

Government to Revise LRS Fee

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was assured of a reduction in the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) charge in the recent meeting with TRs party members. The request to reduce the LRS fee was considered, while that fee was reduced on their request last month.

The State government move to reduce the regularisation charges would curb the unauthorized layouts or plots in a more positive way. People will now show interest to regularise their layouts or plots by paying the needed fee. It is good the state considered all the issues faced by people in property regularisation and reduced the fee charges.

TRS leaders said to KCR that many assume that even after the government reduced the penalty by a GO on September 18, the LRS amount is high. TRS Representatives proposed to hold a special two-day meeting to discuss new tax regulations and advantages to LRS.

Discussions were made on the new revenue act and the LRS system. While these two issues are positive, officials are requested to explain the advantages to everyone, support the poor and every owner of a property to register their details on Dharani and make their land regularise.

Furthermore, the party leaders also discussed the upcoming GHMC polls. More importantly, if the regularisation fee reduced, it would give more relief for the owners of properties in Hyderabad.
