Hyderabad was again chosen by another global player to extend its presence in India. In the city, the Goldman Sachs Group, a leading global investment bank, securities and investment management company providing a wide range of financial services to all companies, financial agencies, governments and individuals.

Goldman Sachs Services Facility in Hyderabad

Hyderabad has been listed as a new location for Goldman Sachs global share of services in India. This is part of India's strategy to diversify its regional footprint and to improve the reach of talent, to help growing global businesses and to boost competitiveness for the long term.

This was made possible after Goldman Sachs representatives discussed and explained their plans to set its office in Hyderabad at a video conference with IT and Industry Ministry KT Rama Rao. The Minister has reacted positively and said that in its future undertakings, the government would provide the firm with full support.

In the second half of 2021, with approximately 500 staff, this new office is set to start and has the potential for future development. It will develop on the expertise of the current Bengaluru leadership and invest in a strong pool of competitive world-class local talent.

This Bengaluru office will remain a big location for Goldman Sachs in India on the outer ring road with over half of its 6,000 employees as engineers.
