On Monday, the high court intends to know from the state government if there is any chance of extending the last date for individuals to apply for the layout regularisation scheme (LRS) to get their plots regularised.
LRS Last Date Extension Request
The Telangana Government has recently extended the deadline applying for layout regulation scheme 2020 up to October 31. Following the statement, the high court requested government is there any possibility of more extension on the last date for LRS applications.
The question was asked by the bench of Chief Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan and Justice B Vijaysen Reddy to advocate General BS Prasad when some advocates made a reference to their pleas on LRS. The AG requested time to determine the decision of the state in this regard. The case was reported to the bench on November 4.
On behalf of Congress MP A Revanth Reddy, a note was also made of his request to vacate the stay on the NGT inquiry into the alleged illegal construction of a farmhouse in the Janwada region of GO 111 in the Rangareddy district.
Although the case was classified for a physical hearing, his lawyer requested a virtual hearing because he was unable to fly from Delhi to Hyderabad. The case was reported to the bench on November 16.
