Seven places identified to procure 11,000 acres land: HMDA 

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is all set to obtain over 11,000 acres of land including 9,700 acres near junctions of the Outer Ring Road under the Land Pooling Scheme. HMDA has identified land at seven places which are Choutuuppal, Keesara, Kandukur, Kothur and Shankarpally are the locations that are being pooled for developmental purposes. These lands acquire 9,700 acres of land located near Outer Ring Road (ORR) junctions. 

According to HMDA officials, “At some plots, a concept plan has been discussed with the property owners following which a draft plan will be prepared. The pattadars agreed to participate in LPS. Preliminary inspections have been completed and draft layout is being prepared,” a HMDA official said.  

The HMDA acquired land is well-equipped with basic amenities such as water supply, roads, drainage, open spaces, electricity and community service among others. Under the LPS scheme, the State government’s branch that acquires land will pay the Non-Agricultural Lands Assessment (NALA) charges and registration and stamp duty of sale deed.
