Telangana Becomes Preferred State For Uplifting Business Activities

The government of Telangana has set up innovative models for the promotion and creation of employment opportunities and investments in the manufacturing and service sectors.

The TSiPASS Act that won rewards throughout the country led to revolutionary industrial-sector changes which attracted Rs 2.13 lakh crore investment and generated more than 15.51 lakh jobs through 15,252 industry units.

Telangana as a Business Friendly State 

The Telangana state has created a comfortable atmosphere for business, trade or industrial activities, including 24-hour quality power supply, better legislation and order situation. The state is among the top three countries in the ease of doing business (EODB). Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan stated that world-renowned companies are interested to open their offices in Hyderabad due to simple, fast and transparent clearances.

In Telangana state, the IT sector is making rapid progress by opening its database centres in Hyderabad by internationally renowned IT companies. 250 new IT companies landed in the state after the formation, and there are 5,82,126 employees. IT exports were Rs 66,276 crore in the first year of State formation. They are more than doubled by the 2019-20 financial year and now stand at Rs 1,28,807. The national average growth in IT exports is 8.09%, while the growth rate for Telangana is 17.93%.

The national association of software and services companies (NASSCOM), despite the negative effect of the Covid19 pandemic, has planned for fiscal 2020-21 state IT exports at Rs 1.40 lakh crores. "Even in adverse conditions, it is absolutely clear that the state of Telangana is progressing. Telangana also plays a leading role in providing people with digital services. For many startup companies, the state government's T-Hub became the basis.
