Hyderabad tops in residential sales in 2021

Hyderabad prolongs its growth speed in the residential real estate sector and has watched a 197 percent rise in residential sales from 8,560 units in 2020 to 25,410 in 2021, the greatest among the top seven Indian cities. 

As projected by Anarock research, Hyderabad sighted a 209 percent growth in residential sales in Q4 2021 at 11,030 units from 3,570 units in Q4 2020. 

Hyderabad also expanded nearly 51,470 units in 2021, registering a yearly increase of 144 percent over 2020, and witnessed a 71 percent increase over pre-Covid 2019 levels. 

Approximately 81 percent of new supply was augmented in the mid-segment and the premium segment. 

Anuj Puri, chairman of Anarock Group exclaimed that Hyderabad has been one of the most vibrant real estate markets among all top cities over 2021 and witnessed robust residential activity – both in terms of new launches and housing sales. Hyderabad saw renewed interest by all stakeholders due to various factors. 

He stated that Amaravati’s loss is being seen as Hyderabad’s gain ever since the former has lost its sheen in the past times. Resultantly, residential and commercial activity heightened in Hyderabad in 2021 with developers launching several projects.
