2BHK Housing Colony In Old Marredpally To Be Inaugurated On Mar 3
The Old Marredpally 2BHK Dignity Housing Colony in the Secunderabad Cantonment constituency will commence on Thursday (03-03-2022).
It will be attended by the Municipal Administration & Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao, Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav, Mayor G Vijaya Laxmi, Secunderabad Cantonment MLA G Sayanna, and others.
The colony occupies around 5.18 acres and has 468 housing units. Built by the GHMC costing approximately 36.27 crores, it has a plinth area of 560 sq ft, costing ₹7.75 lakh each. It is furnished with CC roads, sewerage lines, electricity, and sumps for drinking water.
Secunderabad Cantonment MLA G Sayanna said that people agonized over temporary sheds without any comforts, and now families will live better from 3rd March in their new free homes.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao said that the scheme will provide dignified lives to the poor with 100% subsidized housing.
Drinking water scheme for SCB
20,000 liters of free drinking water will be given by SCB to people every month soon.
Although the board is entirely under the control of the union government, all the State government schemes comprising Aasara pension, Kalyana Lakshmi/ Shaadi Mubarak, are being expanded to people living in the SCB.
