Dharani to get a makeover to strengthen its functioning

Dharani to get a makeover to strengthen its functioning

Finance Minister T Harish Rao asked officials to further consolidate the Dharani portal, a dedicated portal for agriculture land transactions, by introducing adequate modules after rectifying land records errors.

Harish along with other members, discussed the mandatory changes to be made; more than 10 lakh transactions were done through the portal during the past year.

The committee informed that about 98,049 applications were received of prohibited lands out of which 82,472 applications were disposed of.

Due to a lack of awareness of modules, a training session for Mee Seva operators was organised.

Also, the district Collector should give a power-point presentation on the Dharani portal at Parishad Parishad and municipal council meetings. Besides this, the committee members are advised by officials to establish help desks at the district Collectorate offices to educate people about the portal and also to help them in uploading documents before carrying out a transaction.
