The road network in the GHMC limits aggregates to 9,013 kilometers and to maintain this, a sequence of measures are undertaken like systematic inspections, quality control audits, an exclusive grievance redressal system, and also bringing in agencies. 2,562 road works costing around Rs 644.48 crores were authorized for this purpose.

In 2021, 15,696 potholes had to be filled to make roads functional for the commuters, these works did not incorporate the restoration of main roads, as they were assigned to agencies as part of the CRMP. The State government authorized Rs 1,839 crore under CRMP for enduring the 709.49 kilometers main roads in the GHMC limits constituting 401 stretches.

As part of this program, the agencies were accountable for the upkeep and maintaining all the main road stretches in traffic-worthy condition for five years. Maintenance of footpaths, central median, curb painting, lane marking, sweeping, and greenery development was also undertaken.

To make the roads commuter-friendly, GHMC has made it compulsory for the CRMP agencies to organize a redressal system. Respecting this, officials allegedly stated that the agencies inaugurated control rooms to address citizens' complaints, and to date, 15,849 complaints have been followed through.
