TSIIC To Resume Unused Lands
The Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation has reportedly decided to resume about 2,000 acres of open space. The respective space had been left unaccustomed over the years after they were allocated to entrepreneurs and business forces in HMDA limits.
A decision had been made in tenet to take over the land and reallot the same to other industrial units as a portion of a broader policy. Sources said that this would establish a land pool spread over 1.5 lakh acres for industrial use.
The land that was being inquired was primarily in Fab City at Raviryal, hardware park at Mamidipalli, IT park at Nanakramguda, and Industrial Development areas situated at Nacharam, Pashamailaram, and Patancheru.
Sources also added that the government had allotted 4,169 acres to 2,290 companies with a heavy investment of Rs. 56,600 crores and employment capability of 1.5 lakh in the last four years.
But, it was allegedly found out that about 2,000 acres were lying absolutely idle without any progress in the establishment of units despite the fact that they had been authorized and permitted by all mandatory TS-IPASS clearances. Some of these land parcels had then been taken back.
