GHMC Budget : 30 More Flyovers, Major Spending On Sewerage And Water Supply

The GHMC is being majorly allocated in the State budget presented by Finance Minister, T Harish Rao. 

The momentum is on infrastructure development, which will experience more than 30 flyovers and 18-foot overbridges being finished apart from the inauguration of some other finished ones. 

After the formation of Telangana, the State government developed infrastructure in the GHMC limits immensely.  

Under the CRMP program, a total extent of 530 kilometers in five routes was developed. Recently, new flyovers were constructed near the Owaisi junction and also at Shaikpet. 

He said that “In the ensuing financial year I am glad to announce that LB Nagar underpass, Tukaram Gate RUB, Bahadurpura flyover, and another 30 flyovers and 18-foot overbridges would be completed." 

To treat the sewage of Hyderabad, an expenditure of ₹3,866 crores will be undertaken and around the Outer Ring Road, the service roads are being broadened with an expense of Rs 387 crores. 

Rao said that the Sunkishala project was taken up with an expenditure of nearly ₹1,450 crores concerning the measures taken up to enhance the drinking water supply in the city and its boundaries. A provision of 725 crores was formulated in the budget for the same.
